Biography

ASHLEY WHITE was born in Atlanta and raised in a small town near the Alabama line called Douglasville, Georgia. She has landed several significant film roles since her 2011 debut on the big screen as Sandra Sinclair in Dolphin Tale, that starred Morgan Freeman, Ashley Judd and Harry Connick, Jr. She also had roles in The Conjuring (2013), Big Losers (2014), and Starcrossed (2014). Ashley recently filmed a role in the new comedy, The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving (2015), starring Paul Rudd and Selena Gomez, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2016. Fundamentals of Caring also played opening night of the Atlanta Film Festival in April 2016.
  
Ashley attended college at Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia on a competitive cheerleading scholarship. In 2004, she won the title of Miss Columbus State University, a preliminary to the Miss Georgia Pageant, where she promoted her platform, “Cancer Awareness and Education”.
 
She later transferred to the University of Miami, graduating with honors, receiving a B.A. in Economics and a double minor in Business Law and English. A member of the UM co-ed cheerleading team, Ashley was chosen to represent the Miami Hurricanes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Sideline Spirit Contest.
 
After graduation, Ashley worked as an on-air reporter and anchor for WPLG, the ABC affiliate television station in Miami, and was a host of LATV Miami. Having a passion to perform, Ashley auditioned and became an NFL cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins. Her experience with the ‘Fins took her around the globe to exotic places like London, Bahrain, Djibouti, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, as part of the Armed Forces Entertainment military tour performing for U.S. Troops.
 
Ashley eventually made the journey back home to Georgia, where she currently resides in Atlanta.
